Lessons from Movie: 100% Love

June 7th, 2011 No comments

Even though I will not recommend any one to watch this movie, there is still some thing you can learn from this stupid movie.

  1. Do not watch a movie just because every one says it is good. :-) Many people have told that this movie is good. For me it is completely opposite. One of the stupid movie in recent times.
  2. If you love some one, say it directly. There are some people whom I like(Yes, Girls only). Lets see, when I will be able tell them.
  3. No matter how beautiful it seems, stupids things are stupid. For example, marrying a blood relative is very bad for kids. It is a kind of sin in my view. And it must be avoided in all cases. I certainly hate this movie for that one point.
  4. Think about others also. I don’t know how they become hero & heroine when they have played with the lives of other people, just because of their stupidity.

Shouting

June 6th, 2011 No comments

It is the main act that many people associate me with. Till now it was the primary way of expressing my unhappiness. In my last post I said I am trying to control it.

Seems like other than at home I was successful so far. Now at home also I will practice this. Next time I shout, my wife will get what ever she wants on the next day. Seems like a pretty good idea for me. Lets see how many occasions she will get me to do things I don’t want to do.

Biggest Change

June 1st, 2011 2 comments

If there is some thing that I ever wanted to change in me, it is my tendency of getting angry with people. There are two sides of me. One side I think I am much more patient than many other people in many situations. Other side I know that I am very much impatient when dealing with some situations.

I want to change myself in the way I express my unhappyness to others.

It does not mean that I don’t express unhappyness. It only means the way of expression will be much more easy to handle for others.

I have some plans of  how to do it. Do you have any suggestions? What do you do when you get angry? Or when your expectations are not met by others?

Change

May 24th, 2011 1 comment

Even though no one have suggested much in reply to my previous post, I started some changes my self.

Today I went for morning jogging/running. Hope to continue it always. For that I need to get up at 6AM for that I need to sleep before 11PM.

So the changes for today are….

  • Sleep before 11PM
  • Get up before 6AM
  • Go for Running or do Exercises

Oh  wait, Sleep before 11PM means no second shows. Is it possible? I don’t think so. My wife will kill me. Anyway as we don’t see more than two per month, I think we can getup late on those days.

Wish me strength to maintain the consistency. I strongly believe consistency is crucial in life. If we have it, we are kings.

what do you like me to do?

May 23rd, 2011 15 comments

There are lot of things I should have done, but did not do till now. There are lot of things I wanted to do but did not do yet. There is a lot which I should not have done, but was done.

I want to know if there is any one who can spend 15min or so thinking for me, and tell me what to do. My goal is simple. I want to be a happy man, responcible towards society, and rich at the same time. Other than this I hope you may have some idea of what I want anyway. And there are things which you can tell to anyone without knowing anything about them.

Here are some things which I think I should be working on…

  • Improve Health
  • Enjoy most of the time
  • Get some friends, who can spend time thinking about me
  • Increase social participation
  • Increase investments in Business & Technology

And the order or priority is also as mentioned.

Now, the question is, tell me what I should be doing. If you need any more information, send me a mail or msg. I will contact you and will get your suggestions directly. If you want to keep them private, send to my mail id. Else post them here.

Update:

It seems many have misunderstood what I am asking here. I am not asking you to change the priorities that I have listed here. I am not asking to choose some of them.
What I am actually asking is to tell me what I need to do to achieve all above points.
For example
Increase Health: Get up at 6AM, Do exercises, Don’t drink cool drinks, Become Vegetarian etc..
Enjoy most of the time: Read so and so book, Mediate for some time, See so and so director movies, Get friends etc.

As you see, I am asking for specific things to do. Things I should be able to do if I choose to. Clear specific steps of what to do and what not to do. Do not tell me generic steps which have multiple meanings and multiple interpretations.

After all we are slaves to our stupid minds

April 24th, 2011 5 comments

Even if you are a Prime Minister, or Chief Minister or even world class cricket player who ever you might me, you are slave to your stupid mind. The reason why I call it stupid is it acts in a way that can not be explained logically. And I am saying ‘stupid’ based on average of all of us.

Today is a good day. Today I could identify so many people whom we used to think great about acting like cowards.

In response to the death of the so called ‘Saibaba’ PM said the following..

  • Country have lost a great person. He should be ideal for every one.

I really do not understand why he is great person. Even for some reason he is a great person, how can the prime minister expect him to be ideal for every one? Do PM expects every one to declare themself as gods? Do he expects every one to donate some money by collecting more from others in the name of god.

Like this I have seen so many comments in TV today. These TV channels became like Viruses. It is good Virus or Bad Virus, they just help you spread everywhere in very short time.

I am not saying against the so called ‘Saibaba’. I believe he must be a great person(if not good person). Otherwise it is impossible to have somany followers(Even if we know 99% of them are stupid).

I have seen somany great people becoming slaves of their stupid minds. It is essential to protect the health of our society, otherwise it will effect our future.

Finally I close with the following rant..

What ever you do, in the name of god, or in the name of other person, you are doing a sin. Please stop worshiping gods, or at least stop worshiping other people. There is no benefit of such worship on our society.

Friendship Interview

March 26th, 2011 2 comments

Recently I got an interesting(or stupid) idea. If there is any interview that you would like to take to select a candidate to be your friend, what kind of questions will we ask?

Even thought I kept thinking about it a bit, did not get enough list in mind to start writing. But now, I want to make this list, so that I can present it to some one and make some friend(if it works)

Let us assume that we don’t know the person at all and this is the first time we are talking. Let us also assume that this interview is being done online in a chat or email. More restrictions make this interesting? I think so.

Here is my list of questions.. Lets see if I can declare a person as worthy as a friend just from answers to these questions.

  1. Who are your top 5 friends and why?
I have seen people who call anyone they know as friends. Good for them. But my definition of friendship is not that broad. The question of ‘Why’ makes it really important. Many people think that friendship does not expect anything in return. But I do not agree. For me, there must be some use of being some one as friend. Over some time period that use may grow or reduce. Depending on that we talk to them. We may still say that he/she is your friend. Actually what we mean is he/she was your friend. Those reasons really explain to me what that person is expecting from others. The kind of existing friends give me hint if they will like me as a friend.
  2. Do you read books? What kind of books?
Books are really important for me. Even though I don’t read too many books, I do read some and I believe that there is a really good chance that some one who reads books(a decent amount) makes a good friend for me. The kind of books they read gives lot of hints into their mindset.
  3. What is your opinion on God? And how strong are you on your opinion?
I would better not explain why I am asking this question.
  4. If you can have 5 wishes and you will get what you will ask for, What would you really ask?
Even though it looks silly, for me it tells a lot.
  5. When did you last change yourself? And why?
It is difficult to explain why I am asking this.

Now the question is, who will read all this and care to answer me such complex and long questions. I don’t know, who have that much patience these days.  And what will they get from my friendship? Hopefully they have an idea of what to expect from some one.

If any one have such list, I am happy to answer them for you. Send me your list.

If I find that answers to these questions are not enough, then I will put my second round of interview.

Random Thoughts

March 6th, 2011 No comments

Lot of thoughts went through mind today. About almost every thing in life, like money, fame, life, death, love, marriage, beauty, girls, coding, opportunities, interesting ideas, future visions, cricket, movies, health, company and relations.

Don’t know what to write here, but there is a lot to talk, and can not talk here.

I think most of the people need some one to talk all these things about. I have to find more people to talk. Need more people who can talk all these with me.

May be if you can talk to some one about all this, then I think you can call him friend. I do have some people to talk all this, do you?

Do we really need a Degree?

February 9th, 2011 3 comments

Many people have asked me this question and many are thinking to ask… So I want to summarize my opinion in this post.

By ‘Degree’ I mean a BTech, BE, MTech, MBA etc. These are 4 things that people think they will get by having a degree.

  1. Job
  2. Knowledge
  3. Enjoyment
  4. Degree itself

lets me explain each of these.

Job

People think that they will get job only when they have a degree. This is true for some people. But it is not true for all of them. There are jobs which does not require any Degree. There are jobs which are based on skill, and not based on written paper.

Knowledge

This is a myth. People think that they will get knowledge when they study a formal Degree. That is what they think when they start. But when they finished, they will think that they don’t know anything. I have talked so many people in atleast IT domain. They have finished MCAs, BTEch etc without any understanding of what they did and why they did. What they can learn from 6 months of JOB they can not learn in 4 years of BTech course.

There will be some 5% of people who may got some knowledge, and I am sure you are not one of them.

Enjoyment

There might be some truth here. Because most of the people whom I have taken interviews, did nothing for knowledge. So they should have really spent all their time in ‘Masthi’. So it is a good way to enjoy 4 years of you life without worrying anything about the outside world.

Degree Itself

I mean the paper that says you have a degree. There are so many people out there, who wants to do degree just because every one is doing. If people are doing what every one is doing, we should still be using stones to create fire. But world moves forward when you start thinking and make informed decisions.

When every one is doing some thing because all others are doing, then that society is going to die in near future.

Now let me explain why you should not do degree if you do not have one already.

  • You are already reading my blog, so you are in good enough position to take proper decisions. If you are not well informed, then following others is good. But that is not the case here.
  • People read just to pass exams. And do nothing for knowledge. So why to choose to write exam in first place.
  • You can save lot of money(min 4 lakh) in 4 years. And for some people that is bigger than their total asset.
  • You can get 4 years of upstart experience, which is again much bigger asset than anything else.
  • You can mold your career in a proper direction from starting itself, which will make your life more happy.
  • Doing a business is much more than doing a MBA. So go ahead and start a business if you want to do MBA.

Do we really need marriage?

January 21st, 2011 No comments

Luckily not many people get this question. For some fortunate people who happened to think about it, here is some help from my side.

Here are some major points which I think about marriage.

Responsibility/Risk:

Most of the the time your responsibility will go up. In some cases it may go down too(If you have a chance of forgetting your existing responsibilities). Responsibility is a kind of social insurance. And in my view marriage is biggest insurance we will ever buy.  Unless you are very unfortunate, you will have a person to take care of you in extreme situations. Like insurance marriage is a way of sharing your risk with others. As the probability of both needing each other in extreme situations at same time is very less.

Now when you want to share your risks with others, are you ready to share their risks with you? If you are not, then you may not find marriage as a good policy for you.

You can say, why only share between 2 people? lets share the risks with a group of people. Frankly, I don’t know. I think our ancestors might have tried this approach, and may be they found it is better if we share with small number of people. :-) I am still open for this idea with a caution.

Sharing risk is a responsibility. If you let other person drink too much, the risk you have to share will increase too much. So responsibility=sharing risk.

Some people will bring lot of risk along with them and want to share with you, but not willing to share that much risk from your side. You have to be careful about choosing right candidate. But I think 95% of time, you will end up with right person even if you do not choose anything. Parents will normally do that kind of checking anyway.

Freedom:

Your freedom may increase or decrease, depending on from which environment to which environment you are going. And it also depends on your gender. For example, my wife feels that she is extremely free to do anything now, when compared to before marriage. That anyway depends on what you want to do. If you want to roam with many people of opposite sex, you may find that it is not that easy. But there are many other things you may feel happy about. Having a partner who earns good money, cool now you don’t need to think that much when purchasing some thing.

It has not changed much for me though. I have been doing what I want to do even before and after marriage. As I said, depends on the partner. If you get right partner, I am sure you will be have more freedom.

Fighting:

Yes, lot of fighting. But who don’t fight? You can fight with your parents, brothers. So now with your partner too. Is it not an advantage? More people to express your anger upon?

Again, it depends on the partner. Also you may have fighting with your partner parents too if they are living with you.

This is some thing most girls fear about. I have heard soo many cases of this. Depending on the environment this might be a very serious problem. I may not be a right person to tell about this as I am not facing this problem. But as this is my blog, I will tell how to avoid it.

  • Do what you want to do. Do not do some thing you do not want to do and feel about it later.
  • Tell things on face in the way you tell to your parents. Try not to show much difference.
  • Imagine that you do not own anything that you have. Think that some one have given you the place when you are in, and you don’t have anything of your own. When ever I think of this, I feel so happy no mater in which situation I am in. (may not work for every one).

Growth:

Depending on the person you are going to marry, you may get to learn a lot from other person. If he/she is not better than you to offer some thing for you, then make sure all other points I mentioned are in your favor. For example my wife tells me that what ever she have learnt is after marriage. Now, it may not be the case for you. Have to be very careful. I always wanted to marry a doctor, so that I can take advantage of all the knowledge she is going to have. But it was not easy to find a doctor that too with a right attitude.

So that is what my opinion is always. When you join with some one, you can take advantage of all the knowledge they already have.

If you are marrying some one who never wants to share anything with you, or if they do not value what themself are doing professionally, and it will be a difficult situation. (Provided that you are a kind of person who expects thats).

Chemical Reactions:

Due to various chemical reactions, we do feel hell lot of things in our mind. And they force us to act in curtain insane ways. So we need some one to express the outcome of those chemical reactions. What your reactions are forcing you to do? The more people you those feelings the more problems you will be in. This is already proved by statistics in many developed countries. But those statistics are not for people who really enjoy with multiple partners and have the mental capability to manage the risks.

Marriage will bring some certainty and stream line your worries to some extent. But it will also restrict you in some ways.  Again it depends on the partners and what kind of agreement is among them.

Here  marriage is just a name of the agreement which is in general use. You can choose to go for some alternative agreement if you like to.

IPC-498a:

IF you ask me, will I choose to get married if I am not already. My answer will be ‘NO’. The reason is ‘IPC-498a’. This law will give too much power to women which I am not comfortable with. I am not aware of this law when I was married. So as long as this law is in place and there is no way I can prevent some one to misuse that on me, then I will choose not to get married.

I might have missed lot other important topics here. I will take up on them in my next post if needed. So please do tell if I missed anything.

Note: In all above cases when I said it depends on the partner, most of the time it actually depends on you than on the partner.
