I am not talking about saying “Sorry” to a girl friend, or wife. But telling sorry to some one else. I tried to remember when I told some one else sorry. Even though I have very poor memory of what I did in my child hood, I can say for sure that I never told some one sorry.

I might have told some times to my employees, that too just because I might have shouted at them unnecessarily.

I believe that it is some thing our parents forgot to teach us. I don’t blame my mother for it. May be no one have thought her in the first place.

In that video, a Pakistani girl says ‘ham mafi chahthe hai’ (We seek forgiveness) for using wrong words in the debate. That spontaneous response from her, when no one is asking her to say sorry, is really an eye opening for me.

I don’t remember using the word ‘forgive’ or its equivalent word in any language ever.

I am very very impressed by the way those girls have talked. It has a very beautiful and meaningful song also. You should watch it.

From what I understand, your number is just what they have in backend. It is nothing to do with the communication between you and your cell phone tower.

So they can give multiple number and any call to any number will be redirected to same call phone. Is it not possible? Hey any tele-communication guys over here?

If it is already existing, then I think I would have had at least 3 numbers.

• One for business
• One for social

Not only me, I think crores of people in this country will need more than one number. As of now they have to carry these many phones or buy Dual SIM phones.

Telephone operators can change more money for the existing resources they are giving. Just software change, and get some millions.

While reading it, I was thinking… Why are we discussing about this at all? Can’t present Firefox be changed by the end users in what ever way they like? No mater where we show the tabs, I don’t think any of the other functionality of the browser or the components in the toolbar change.

So why our software is being designed in such a way that we need to wait for an year to just change the tabs from one place to another place, but for anyone with little common sense it looks like, such things should be possible with 1 or 2 minutes of user customization.

Software Development is still stuck in its early stages. It did not grow up in anyway. They are just finding faster ways of doing things, easier ways of writing code. But I strongly believe the optimization should be done on how easier for user to change. Software should adapt to users. Not the other way around.

People are happy with stupid enhancements like remembering passwords, history auto fill etc. But the developers have totally forgot that there are much more to an user than that.

I am sure, I am definitely going to change this. Keep watching.

I have decided to reduce the consumption of these three items in my food. First I started with Sugar. I have stopped eating all sweets. Reduced sugar mix in milk from 3 spoon to 1 spoon. I have made this reduction gradually like 2.5, 2, 1.5, 1. I am very satisfied with my ability to reduce that sugar consumption.

Salt any extra salt I normally used to eat with curd is totally stopped. So no extra Salt from my side. Now I may need to convince my curry point to reduce the salt use.

I was not able to reduce the White Rice consumption since I started this trend. But hope fully I will start reducing it from now. It is easy to reduce slowly. May be one spoon per week reduction?

If any one is interested in joining me in this trend let me know. We can have a small competition with each other to help us avoid these 3 white poisons.

The Following information should have been in the party website.

• What are different roles in the party? And who is working on which role?
• Who manages different Online Communities of party?
• What are their role in the party organization structure?
• Who are the candidates contested on the party ticket in this elections?
• What are the background of those candidates?
• What is the selection process of those candidates? On what bases they are selected?
• What is the party budget? What happened to every rupee donated by people?
• How the party is getting its every rupee? And where it is spending?(Every transaction)

I know, these are tough questions. You may start asking me or even shouting at me. But think, don’t you need this information? You need resources to put all this information online? I think we have more IT people in party than other parties.

There is one thing that these site teach us.. Dont limit your self with the conventions. Go out of the way. Try new but still be clear and simple.

The biggest problem I have seen so far is..in democracy every one is same.

Take for instance the vote of our RBI Governor, or Indian President and a vote of some person working the fields, uneducated. never went to school, who votes for the person who gives more money. Now both of them have equal power. No other point in life of those people they will have equal power. Only when it comes to voting in general elections, they both have equal power.

It is abviously not the right system. I agree that there is no better solution which I know. But are we all sure that there can not be any better solution? I will keep thinking about it when I have time. What do you think?

But today when I started MacBook in office I found that I am unable to connect to net. Found that I am using IP number of series 169.*.*.* which is not what I expected. It should be in the series of 192.168.*.*

I tried renewing the DHCP lease. But in vain. Same IP is coming again. Finally decided that it is the problem with the DCHP Server.

But there is no way to find the DCHP server that allocated that wrong IP number. I search for 15 min then finally I found the command in a website.

ipconfig getoption en1 server_identifier

BTW this command only works in Mac. Here en1 is the network interface.

Then I found that my DHCP Server is actually down at that point. So that number which I got is allocated by the OS by default. Not the problem of DHCP Server. I started the server and renewed the IP and every thing worked perfectly.

So I searched a bit about what is the best mail client. BTW I use Ubuntu Linux. So Outlook etc is not at all an option for me. I used Opera even when I was using Windows XP also.

The only alternative I got is Thunderbird. Then I started using thunderbird for 4 days. After 4 days of use, I felt like my Opera is much better than this. Here is what I found.

Advantages of Thunderbird over Opera:

1. Rich Text Editor for composing mails
2. Support Digital Certificates
3. You can use Filters to move an incoming mail to “Sent” folder.
4. Custom Labels
5. Open any mail as new in Compose View

Disadvantages:

1. Slow
2. No Attachments Filters
3. No Labels Filters
4. No way to see yesterdays messages
5. No way to see messages sent by a contact
6. Add to Contacts list sucks, It doesn’t even check duplicates
7. No customization of Toolbar
8. No Browser, You need to launch Firefox to see any link in the mail.
9. No Saved Searches
10. No integrated contact list
11. No Filters as Folders

I have realised that Opera is much much better than Thunderbird if you check mails more than 10 times a day. If you check only once and do not have any filters, use Thunderbird.

Finally I switched back to Opera.
